| The ACCESS card is the University
of California Santa Barbara's official identification
card. This multi-purpose photo ID has many convenient
uses. For a one time $15 new card fee you can use
the ACCESS card as a declining balance debit card
on and off campus. This allows for "cash free"
transactions all over the place but, more importantly,
many campus locations only accept ACCESS, no credit
cards or ATM debit cards. The mag stripe on the
back of the card makes it simple to“swipe”
your card for easy access to such locations as the
recreation center and the dining commons. It is
also a free pass to athletic events and the MTD
bus system. |

|
| It's
super easy to use too! Budgeting for the week is
a no brainer. Just deposit funds in your ACCESS
account at the Information desk on the main floor
in the UCen or at the UCen Cashier's window downstairs.
You can also download a deposit slip and mail it
to us. Next time you go out, all you need to carry
is your ACCESS ID card. The UCSB Bookstore even
has a special line for ACCESS purchases during rush,
making this hectic time a little easier. |

|
| No
need to worry about someone else spending your money
because your picture is right on the card. That
makes it safer than a credit card! |
